Sleep and Cognition
As a culture, we have become so focused on “doing” that we have come to not place any value on rest. People are rewarded for working long hours and considered lazy if they leave work after 8 hours. This has left the majority of Americans thinking that sleep is not important and is actually a waste of time.
I hope that by the end of this week, if you don’t already, you will understand how vitally important sleep is to both your overall health and your cognitive health.
