Welcome to the module on gut health. There is a strong connection between the consumption of added sugars, refined carbohydrates, toxins and cognitive decline in large part because of the impact of these stressors on the health of our beneficial bacteria and yeast that reside in our gastrointestinal tract, or gut. Let’s look at how these are interconnected and why we want to pay special attention to the health of our beneficial gut microbes.
